Mary’s tooth prayers

A few weeks ago we asked you to please pray for our Mary (our 10 yr. old 5th grader) who would have some dental surgery.  Well, thank you for the prayers; everything went even better than expected.  The surgery went well, and we took her home.  We were expecting some problems that day and that night with pain, but she never complained of any.  We sort of looked at the spot to make sure they had done some work.  Sure enough, it had happened.  And everything was fine.  She slept right through the next few nights with no complaints.

About prayer, sometimes we wonder if prayer makes a difference.  When God doesn’t answer our prayers the way we wanted him to, we wish that he had answered our prayer.  But something a little worse, sometimes we pray and things go as we wanted.  We may tend to think, well, I didn’t need to have prayed after all, because everything turned out okay.  But what we should see is that when things turn out the way we ask, that is God answering our prayers.  We are thankful for the Lord’s answer to our prayers about Mary’s tooth surgery.  May the Lord bless you and thank you again for your prayers on her behalf.
